Gay Felony is the creative project of Melody Scallion, mainstay of the L.A. dance scene for nearly a decade as DJ, video artist, sound system architect and promoter. A staple of the above-and-under-ground, she delivers ecstatic and exceptionally skillful extended vinyl DJ sets exploring genres from soulful deep & beautiful progressive house to brutal hard house & melodic techno. She has been a monthly resident on dublab for over three years and has performed in warehouses, wine bars and derelict sheds across North America with artists including Octo Octa & Eris Drew, Bored Lord, Introspekt, Claude Young, Justin Long. Through her fast & loose, uncompromising DJ sets she attempts to bring about an essential queering of the universe, pulling society into the Trans Future by any means necessary.
